Jacqui Getz is a literacy consultant who has been a teacher, the principal of ManhattanNewSchool and PS 87 in Manhattan, a member of the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, a consultant for Accelerated Literacy Learning, and a mentor for principals throughout New York City. Her focus is on literacy work in classrooms, including planning, and conferring skills of teachers; social studies planning; and coaching administrators. Her goal is to help teachers and administrators deepen their understanding of how to develop and to reflect on units of study.
