Arin Lavinia is a former Staff Developer at Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project where she worked in classrooms alongside teachers and administrators, and led institutes in New York City and nationally.Prior to joining the Reading and Writing Project, she taught for several years at PS 116 in Manhattan’s former District 2 and led staff development workshops for teachers and administrators in New York City’s Region 9. Arin provides quality professional development in reading and writing instruction that is directly transferrable into best teaching practices.She continues to work with teachers, coaches and administrators to create rigorous and joyful learning communities through workshops, classroom lab sites, curriculum development, and examination of student work.
