Isoke Titilayo Nia has been an educator for over twenty-five years.  The first nine of those years were spent in independent schools for children of African descent.  During this tenure she taught grades three through eleven.
 As a teacher in District 17 in Brooklyn and later as a staff developer there, she began and continues her quest for process teaching and learning.
 
For thirteen years Isoke served as the Director of Research and Development at The Reading/Writing Project, Teachers College, Columbia University.
 
In September of 2001 Isoke, founded All Write Literacy Consultants, Inc. Isoke now travels throughout the United States and abroad, learning, and sharing that learning with others who teach.
 
Through this consulting organization she continues to work with teachers in the United States and abroad on Literacy Instruction.
Isoke is known for her inspirational speeches and her ability to speak to the heart of classrooms everywhere.
 
Isoke Nia is also a writer of short stories and along with a collection of her stories is close to completing a book tentatively entitled, Digging Deep:  The Study of Genre in the Process Classroom.
