Mary Anne Sacco is an educational consultant specializing in literacy instruction. Her professional experience includes over fifteen years as teacher, coach, mentor, and administrator.Mary Anne’s classroom teaching and coaching experience includes Kindergarten through fourth grade, including CTT.Mary Anne began her career teaching kindergarten in the Bronx, and continued at the Manhattan New School (PS 290), where she worked for eight years as teacher, literacy coach and assistant principal. Mary Anne also served as principal of PS 183, a district two elementary school.Mary Anne co-authored Significant Studies for Second Grade: Reading and Writing Investigations for Children (Heinemann, 2004), and is currently at work on a second book on primary writing. Mary Anne conducts practical workshops, institutes, and on-site coaching for teachers, staff developers, and administrators.
