Karen caine
Karen Caine is the author of the Heinemann title Writing to Persuade. She is a writing consultant who works with elementary and middle school teachers.
She also teaches in the Masters in Teaching Program at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. Karen taught in New York City at The Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School and at PS 158. She was a literacy staff developer at PS 199, an instructor for summer institutes such as the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project Institutes, and a Director of Curriculum for The High Meadows School in Atlanta. Karen specializes in "breaking things down" in order to give teachers and administrators practical usable information and teaching techniques.
